Fixed Equity Loans

Fixed Equity Loans are available for primary residences, second homes and investment properties. The second home loans require a 1.00% increase in the interest rate and max. CLTV is 90%. The maximum CLTV in California and Florida is 70%. A sample loan payment based on $100,000 at 6.500% APR for 20 years is $745.57.

Home Equity Lines are available for primary residences, second homes and investment properties. The second home loans are subject to a 1.00% increase in the interest rate from the rates disclosed below and may be subject to other restrictions. All loans for amounts less than or equal to $25,000 will be subject to 2.00% increase in the interest rate from the rates disclosed below and may be subject to other restrictions. All Home Equity Lines are variable-rate products and the annual percentage rate (APR), payment, or term may change. Current rates range from 3.99%* APR to 11.25% APR with a plan maximum of 18% APR. You must carry homeowner's insurance on the property that secures this plan. Home Equity Lines of Credit are not available in Texas. The maximum CLTV in California and Florida is 70%.

*Lifetime Floor: The minimum APR that can apply during the Home Equity Line of Credit Plan is 3.99%. Our Home Equity Line APR varies based on prime rate, which is currently 3.25% and is updated according to the published rate in the Wall Street Journal on the first work day of every month.

**Rate Discount is applied after your application is accepted. Discount is available for new Home Equity Line applications. You must set up and maintain monthly recurring automatic payments from your Navy Federal checking account for the life of the loan, otherwise your rate will increase 0.25% above your original note rate. The minimum APR that can apply during the Home Equity Line of Credit Plan is 3.99%.

***Payments are interest-only for 5 years and then change to principal and interest for the remaining 10 years.


For Loan/Line amounts up to $250,000, closing costs typically range between $150 and $900. The closing costs depend on the location of the property and the amount of the Equity Loan/Line.
